2010-2011 Summer All American Predictions: All Weights Posted

I’ve been sketching rough drafts out of all weights so far and have a good idea about some maybe not quite as good an idea about others.

Obviously given that we’re still months out from the season starting these are going to be very touch and go in terms of weight changes and redshirts but they’re still fun to do.

About Jon

I started wrestling my freshman year of high school in 2000 in Northern California. My first match lasted about 16 seconds and ended with me on my back. I am proud to say that my second one lasted a bit longer, but sad to report that it ended the same way. That year was my hardest year. I lost every match except for one. My sophomore year I threw out my back and couldn’t wrestle but I still showed up to practice nearly every day and became the general “mat monkey.” Junior year I was back. This was the year that I suffered most of my injuries. I broke fingers, cracked ribs and dislocated both my shoulders at the same time. It was also the best record I had.

  1. Is Derrick St. John that good or is it just because hes at Iowa, Toal is too inconsistant to be ranked that high, but he s pretty good, High hopes for Winston, has not hit the wall with Asper yet, Amuchasti will drop unless he gets as much help from the refs as last year. Watched my video of most of the match and Josh had two, yes TWO takedowns during regulation that where called out of bounds, Amuch lost 1 pt. to fleeing and 1 pt. to stalling. Ref didn’t have the balls to take the last and winning pt for stalling to Asper. Now im starting to understand why they didnt want me to film at NCAAs

  2. As a native Pennsylvanian, I love seeing Wright ranked so high, but I believe he would lose to Perry most of the time. Will Grajales make the Michigan lineup? Before his redshirt year, Nick Nelson from Virginia had a pretty good NCAA tournament, so why not rank him?
    Thanks.
